Manager, Cloud Engineering Architect

ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance our cloud compute capabilities, aligning them with Accurate’s overall business strategy. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within your organization. Technical Oversight: Provide technical expertise and guidance on cloud computing architectures, systems design and performance optimization. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of these platforms. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, program management and application support, to deliver exceptional customer experiences and deliver optimized solutions. Project Management: Manage complex projects, including major initiatives and product launches, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints. Industry Trends: Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud computing. Protect our intellectual property and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.Management: Lead capacity planning, budget forecasting, and vendor/license management for cloud platforms. Establish clear KPIs, SLAs, and operational excellence metrics.Design and implement cloud architectures using AWS services, following the AWS Well Architected Framework.Oversee and implement AWS networking solutions, including ELBs, firewalls, and VPC configurations.Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and delivery of cloud solutions.Develop reusable architectural patterns to streamline solution delivery.Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and design tailored AWS solutions.Implement Agile methodologies to improve development and deployment processes.Support both Linux and Windows environments in cloud-based infrastructures.Qualifications10+ years of Cloud Engineering industry experience with 3+ years building and leading high-performing engineering teams with a focus on Cloud computingExtensive experience with building and supporting Kubernetes clusters and containersExpertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormationExpertise in software development lifecycle management, including development, staging, and production environmentsStrong knowledge of AWS storage management (EBS, S3) and cloud networkingHands-on experience with AWS security and IAM configurationsExperience working with Agile methodologies and DevOps best practicesProficiency in Linux and Windows operating systemsAbility to troubleshoot and escalate issues with AWS or third-party providersDevOps experience, supporting enterprise cloud projects and implementing automationStrong communication and customer engagement skills to translate business requirements into cloud solutionsAbility to work with team members from around the globe/experience working with offshore modelsExceptional leadership and people skills Strong verbal and written communication skillsPreferred QualificationsHands-on experience with AWS cost optimization and performance tuningAWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.) are a plusFamiliarity with all aspects of software development from architecture to deployment and maintenanceUnderstanding of cloud computing architectures, systems design and performance optimizationDeep familiarity with modern web application technologies & frameworks Results orientation with a focus on deliveryTrack record as a leader of consistent product delivery, employee satisfaction, and retentionAbility to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experienceCompetenciesAWS Cloud ArchitectureInfrastructure-as-Code – Terraform, CloudFormationSDLC & Application DevelopmentAWS Storage (EBS, S3) & Networking (VPC, ELB)AWS Security & IAM Best PracticesCloud Strategy & Migration PlanningAgile & DevOps MethodologiesLinux & Windows AdministrationAWS Management & Governance ToolsDevOps & CI/CD PipelinesTroubleshooting & Technical Support$120000 - $180000 a yearThe annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 - $180,000. Pay will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education and training. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, commission, or other variable pay plan.
