The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking CMM Programmers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models and blueprints. Perform precision dimensional inspections of manufactured components using CMMs. Analyze inspection data, interpret results, and generate comprehensive quality reports. Troubleshoot CMM program errors, machine malfunctions, and measurement discrepancies. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define measurement strategies and ensure quality standards. Select and design appropriate fixturing and probes for effective part inspection. Maintain CMM equipment through routine checks and calibration support. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Expertise in interpreting complex engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Solid understanding of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and inspection methodologies. Proven experience in developing, validating, and troubleshooting CMM programs in a manufacturing environment. Ability to analyze measurement data and generate comprehensive inspection reports. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model manipulation and offline programming. Experience with other metrology equipment such as vision systems, laser scanners, or optical comparators. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and data analysis for quality improvement. Experience in the design or fabrication of CMM fixtures.
