About the Principal Investigators Assistant Professor Hamid Nazaripouya, from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, leads multiple multidisciplinary research efforts focused on addressing critical challenges in power systems, renewable energy integration, and community resilience. His work has been supported by leading agencies including NASA, NSF, DOE, and USDA, underscoring the broad impact and importance of his research. Dr. Nazaripouya’s expertise lies in power grid modernization, with emphasis on enhancing sustainability and resilience through the integration of distributed energy resources, power electronics, artificial intelligence, optimization methods, and smart grid technologies. Assistant Professor Ardeshir Moftakhari, from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, brings complementary expertise in energy systems design and analysis.
