Overview Mutual of Enumclaw is looking for a forward-thinking Manager, Data Science & Marketing Analytics. Mutual of Enumclaw works exclusively with local independent agents to offer insurance products for individuals, families, farms, and businesses. We currently operate in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Montana and Wyoming. The Marketing Data Science and Analytics Manager reports to the Director of Digital Channel Marketing Strategy. This position will work closely with the Marketing, Sales, and Data Warehouse teams to deliver actionable analysis that will directly drive new business growth, customer retention, and profitability. The Marketing Data Science and Analytics Manager will be the subject matter expert in their area and participate in special projects as requested by department leadership. They will work closely with the Director of Digital Channel Marketing Strategy and the Marketing Leadership Team to recognize and report on developing trends and other key performance indicators. Location: This position will work remotely. The candidate must be located in MOE operating states (WA, AZ, UT, WY, OR, ID, & MT), or be able to work during our core Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours, and must have high-speed internet (internet speed test required). Hiring Range: $101,938 - $131,125* *The hiring range represents Mutual of Enumclaw’s current hiring pay scale for this role. Responsibilities Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to support strategic, operational, and financial decision-making. Partner with sales and marketing team members to identify analytical problems at scale in a variety of areas, including new customer acquisition, existing customer relationship expansion, and sales channel profitability. Effectively collaborate with other analytics functional areas throughout the company to build relationships and modeling techniques to support reporting efficiencies. Provide subject matter expertise cross-functionally through communication of analysis and reporting. Develop a thorough understanding of existing data sources, systems, and flows at Mutual of Enumclaw to enable efficient and increasingly accurate analysis. Support the development and implementation of data systems and other strategies that optimize reporting efficiency and data quality. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications; establishing personal networks and participating. Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: 6-8 years of industry experience working with and analyzing large data sets. 3-5 years of experience in technical leadership. Exceptional knowledge of and working experience with: Cloud data warehouses: Snowflake Scientific programming languages: Python and SQL Frameworks and Libraries: Pandas, NumPy, SciKit-Learn Experience with experimental design, hypothesis testing, segmentation and clustering analysis, multivariate regression. Experience working on large-scale multidimensional data using knowledge of open-source cloud-enabled analytical programming languages. Experience building reporting systems and dashboards. Strong communicator who can take complex ideas and methodologies and simplify them for non-technical audiences. Ability to understand complex business problems and break down analytics projects into a structured approach. Track record of collaborating data engineers and analysts. Desired: Insurance or financial services industry experience. Marketing and sales analytics experience. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and/or Customer Data Platform (CDP) data experience. Experience with streaming data, APIs, and workflow automation. Knowledge of and working experience with: ETL platforms: FiveTran, Matillion Collaborative IDEs and Code Repositories: Hex, Github, Jupyter Notebooks Business intelligence platforms: Sigma Marketing and CRM systems: HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Frameworks and Libraries: TensorFlow, Matplotlib Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, or Computer Science or relative experience in related fields. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer, including videoconferencing. Some travel will be required.
