Job Summary The Work Study Student will support the Office of Career and Professional Development as an Office Assistant on the Armstrong Campus beginning Fall 2025. The Office Assistant will provide front-end clerical support while serving as the first point of contact for students, alumni, faculty/staff, and visitors in person as well as via phone and email.Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities Upon completion of training, will critique alumni resumes, providing suggestions to improve overall style and layout, formatting, and contentProvide assistance at tabling events, distribute promotional flyers around campus, and regularly promote upcoming events and services to studentsProvides clerical support to include responding to phone calls and emails, and assisting visitors in personUtilizes a multi-line phone to check messages, answer calls, and forward calls as appropriate Directs phone calls, emails, and visitors to the appropriate staff member when necessaryShift SpecificsUp to 10 hours per weekFlexible with schedule of availabilityHours are typically 9 AM - 5 PM Some shifts may be avaliable after 5 PM Required Qualifications Educational RequirementsMust be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.Other Required QualificationsMust be Federal Work eligible.
