The Payroll Specialist will manage payroll records, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and serve as a key point of contact for payroll-related questions. The position works cross-functionally with various departments to support smooth, efficient payroll operations and deliver excellent employee service. Key Responsibilities:Payroll ProcessingManage end-to-end payroll operations, including weekly, bi-weekly, and special payroll runsEnsure accurate calculation of wages, bonuses, overtime, deductions, and taxesVerify and reconcile payroll data for accuracy and complianceTimekeeping & Data ManagementCollect, review, and verify employee timekeeping dataResolve discrepancies in coordination with supervisorsProcess payroll within established deadlinesProcess ImprovementIdentify opportunities to streamline and enhance payroll operationsDevelop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs)Work with IT/payroll vendors to implement system upgrades and improvementsCompliance & ReportingEnsure payroll practices align with federal, state, and local regulationsPrepare required labor reports (e.g., BLS reporting)Stay updated on changes to payroll laws and update processes accordinglyEmployee SupportServe as the primary contact for payroll-related questionsProvide training and guidance on payroll policies and proceduresSupport onboarding of new hires with payroll system educationSystem ManagementMaintain payroll systems and ensure accurate data entryTroubleshoot system issues and work with vendors on resolutionsAudits & ControlsConduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and prevent errorsMaintain proper documentation for all payroll transactionsSupport internal and external audits, including W-2 preparation Qualifications:Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in payroll processing.Experience working in home health care.Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.Proficiency with payroll software and EMR systems.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Working Conditions:This position operates in an office environment.Job type: Full-TimePay: $65,000-$80,000.00 per year We are excited to welcome passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team at Personal Touch Home Care.
