We are a global team of 30,000 visionaries, doers, and makers with a portfolio of over 120 companies that touches lives globally Under direction of the Automation Manager, the Manufacturing Robotics Engineer is responsible for All phases of selection, development and deployment of custom, robotic driven manufacturing cells Creating robot cell concepts and designs for automated prototype, pilot line and production equipment for Marmon Retail sites Appropriately sizing and selecting robots and cobots. Leading the design and design review process for robotic manufacturing cells Supporting the project team for robotic systems used in manufacturing from design to debug and production support Creation of RFP’s and Purchase Specification documents for new robotic cells Testing and validation of new designs and equipment Participating and/or leads as a member of a cross-functional project team Analyzing existing robotic cells for efficiency improvements and capacity increase initiatives Marmon is expanding its automation resources to drive innovation and efficiency across our portfolio of groups and companies. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics or Automation engineering​ Minimum 3 years’ related experience in design and deployment of robotic manufacturing equipment Deep knowledge of industrial robots and cobots, supplier base and manufacturers of robots and robotic support equipment Experience with vision guided robotic applications Programing expertise with ABB and Yaskawa robots, HMI’s, Keyence controllers, and vision inspection systems Familiarity of validation protocols, PFMEA’s, control plans and RCA Methods Familiarity with Industrial Safety standards for robotic cells (ANSI, OSHA, NFPA, etc.) Familiarity with control panel layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams and power distribution 30-50% travel, domestic.
