How you can make a difference The Sr Enterprise Project Manager is responsible for planning, documenting and coordinating projects of varying size from initiation to delivery. Initial job responsibilities will focus on Acquisition projects brining partners, clients and members between platforms. This position is not an IT, Product or Engineering related Project Management job. They will have extensive project management skills gained through education and experience and can lead and support large and complex, cross-functional strategic projects. These skills include but are not limited to developing and managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risks. The individual must also effectively lead the project team, coordinate the work, and collaborate with stakeholders. An individual in this role is comfortable communicating complex concepts in ways that are simple and comprehensible and can evaluate the relationship and impact of project on the organization. A senior project manager must address project-related issues, help the organization realize benefits from the project and function as a change agent. This role requires the individual to change at the required pace to meet project needs, show persistence and consistency in actions, and make timely decisions based on fact while managing ambiguity. Senior project managers use past experiences and lessons learned to aid in their decision-making and reduce this ambiguity. Furthermore, an experienced senior project manager will use their expertise to advise the program manager regarding risks and opportunities that may impact other projects or the overall program. A senior project manager uses high level independent judgment and discretion in their role with limited guidance from the program manager. The Sr. Enterprise Project Manager reports to a Sr. Manager, IMO or VP of Strategic Programs. This position also collaborates with senior executives and key business stakeholders. This role typically performs remote. What you’ll be doing Develops project charter that includes specifications and objectives from initiation to delivery for complex projects. This entails interfacing with organizational leaders to define scope to meet objectives, develop project schedules, and develop capacity and resource requirements. Drives project progress throughout the life cycle of the project in addition to preparing, maintaining, and updating project plans, agendas, and systems set-up for projects. This includes determining project steps, activities, sequence of events, dependencies, and the duration of tasks by engaging various levels of the organization and subject matter experts. On a regular basis, updates the project plan and provides to project leadership. Prepares and delivers regular executive level steering committee updates. Requires being well-versed in all aspects of the project and delivers updates with confidence. Absorbs information to become well versed on the business needs, considering the processes and services available and able to synthesize and position this information in a meaningful way to the team. Identifies appropriate resources needed ensuring availability necessary for project deliverables. Manages resource needs and tasks within respective departments, other internal departments, and outside service provides. This may include collaboration with functional department managers to assemble project teams. Focus and ownership on all project matters. Assigns and documents project responsibilities ensuring that activity, integration, and productivity are employed in the most efficient manner while meeting project targets. Manages resources within respective business areas (as it relates to deliverables) as well as materials committed to the projects to ensure that project milestones are met and completed on time. Serves as a point of contact to routinely relay, facilitate and keep stakeholders apprised of the project’s status and respond to questions or inquiries regarding the project. Maintains open communications and relationships with the project team, coordinating and conducting meetings as appropriate. Conducts risk assessment of strategic, technical, financial, or business factors affecting the project. Monitors project deliverables and progress through the duration of the project plan, managing deviations as appropriate, including project scope. Identifies factors jeopardizing the project and escalates issues as appropriate, recommending solutions to senior project team members and leaders. Conducts post project reviews with participation and guidance from management team to capture learnings and identify areas for future improvement and updates to project and program methodology. Plans and allocates project manager capacity as needed to execute large, complex initiatives requiring more than one project manager. Mentors Enterprise Project Managers I and II in project execution including sharing of best practices, attending project meetings for post meeting feedback and coaching. Leads the implementation of continuous improvement, including defining and implementing best practices and tools that support the project lifecycle in concert with program leadership. Proficiently drives partner and drive vendor relations as it relates to projects and potential RFP processes. What you will need to be successful Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or technology-related major Minimum 7-10 years’ experience as a Project Manager PMP Certification Required Knowledge of and familiarity with the benefits industry is preferred. Proven experience managing project teams spanning multiple business functions. Strong execution skills as demonstrated by successful experience overcoming project obstacles including implementing risk mitigation and contingencies. Ability to manage expectations and collaborate with executive sponsors and steering committee members. Strong leadership that will enable HealthEquity to achieve project success. Ability to build, lead and develop project teams. Proficiency with business and communications software (preferably Word, Excel, PowerPoint, common Windows operating systems, and Outlook) is required. Firsthand knowledge of project management tools is also required. Strong meeting management and facilitation skills (both virtually and in person). Develops knowledge across products, policies, and processes and shares that expertise within their team and across their projects. Expands expertise outside of own team and department and identifies and champions potential need for change (SWOT). Influences/builds the expertise of others to advance department/function. Communication: Tailors written and verbal communication as needed for varied audiences to obtain support and buy in. Communicates with poise, confidence, and professionalism to a variety of audiences. Holds crucial conversations in a timely and effective manner. Develops and presents materials and presentations that can be tailored to all levels of the organization, including executives, in a way that encourages interaction and comprehension. Relationship Building: Able to persuade others by understanding their needs and perspectives and with that builds a compelling case for solving the issue or task at hand. Expertly utilizes knowledge to align the actions of self and others to business priorities. Salary Range $91000.00 To $141000.00 / year Benefits & Perks The compensation range describes the typical minimum or maximum base pay range for this position. The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
