Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with David Aplin Group to hire a Technical Analyst to be the main contact for the support, implementation, and sustainment of their mine engineering systems. This is a 12-month, remote contract. It is available to candidates in Calgary, AB.Perks & Benefits:Remote contract.Responsibilities:Provide Tier 1 & 2 support for incidents related to Engineering systems and work with vendors and other team members to bring incidents to resolutionAbility to diagnose & address application issues. Comfortable operating in a support capacity for business-critical tools, applications, and expert systems; leveraging vendor support to detect and resolve high priority issuesPerform change control, Incident resolution, quality assurance, and testing, knowledge base updates, and implementation of releases and updates to engineering systemsInform & action project plans by providing a detailed description of requirements and achieving deliverablesLead requirements sessions with SMEs and other technical and business stakeholders. Gather and document business/technical requirements for all aspects of projectsInform & action project plans by providing a detailed description of requirements and achieving deliverablesUtilize/analyze/investigate material available in confluence/DevOps/prior submitted tickets to map out theoretical plansAble to lead and execute the implementation of the project of up to 6 months of work and prioritize workload to work on requests across several customers and systemsDevelop and execute test plans to ensure the project delivers on the requirements and is compliant with audit needsIdentify and coordinate organizational change needsProduction of documentation to support these projects in the form of user guides, communications, awareness campaigns, knowledge base articles, and policiesQualifications:Minimum of 5 years in the IT industry within a large corporate enterprise environmentSolid understanding of Microsoft products, including Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 10, Active Directory, and SQL Server including SQL Server Reporting Services Report DevelopmentSoftware development/system configuration experience with a SQL Server database environmentAbility to diagnose & address application issues. Comfortable operating in a support capacity for business-critical tools, applications, and expert systems; using vendor support to detect and resolve high priority issuesExperience with client-server applicationsExcellent problem-solving skills are required and the ability to work remotely with little supervision is essentialSCCM Familiarity. Familiar with ITIL or change management processesExperience with procedural mapping for implementations, configuring checklists & crafting a process for flawless implementationFeels comfortable working in a high pace, uncertain environment.
