Project technologies and tools CAT tools Cloud knledge: AWS, GCP or Azure Responsibilities Support Localization Program Managers in product launches Work with LPgMs to ensure Localization schedules remain on track Identify and manage project risks and communicate project status including metrics Frequent sync-up with Localization Program Manager for daily/weekly tasks Work on miscellaneous team projects & initiatives as needed by LocOps & leads Proactively developing solutions for improving Localization tools and/or process gaps for either Localization Program Managers, or for their stakeholders Provide technical support to translators and LPgMs regarding localization tools and processes Selecting LLM based on the requirements and use-case and performing fine-tuning models, Adjusting hyperparameters, and implementing strategies to reduce latency, loss, and resource consumption Design and implement scalable solutions for LLM deployment to handle varying workloads, requirements from internal and external clients, and provide high availability Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, internal LLMOps, and other stakeholders or UberAI teams to understand the setup, build requirements and deliver optimal LLM solutions Requirements Minimum of 3 years of localization engineering experience in the high-tech industry, either on the client or vendor side At least 1 year of experience in machine learning and/or proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with hands-on experience in relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers) Basic knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure Understanding of scripts such as Python, Perl, or JavaScript Expertise in using CAT tools and setting up localization pipelines & workflows (e.g., Phrase/Memsource, Smartling, Trados) Experience working with audio and multimedia projects and setting up localization/delivery processes Experience using tools such as JIRA and Phabricator Experience in coordinating the localization of various content types, including UI, Help Center, Marketing, and Legal Managing and running linguistic QA processes, identifying issues/gaps, and ensuring high-quality deliverables We Offer Health Insurance Life Insurance (SVO) Occupational Risk Insurance (ART) Paid Time Off Vacations. 14 calendar days a year, the number of days will increase by seniority based on local law rules Sick leave Exceptional Leave.
