Description: The Park Ridge Park District is looking for energetic, self-motivated and responsible individuals who love to work with children and adults of all ages to host parties and work special events. Duties include meeting and greeting guests upon arrival, facilitating activities and games, serving food and beverages when needed, and other tasks involved in a birthday party or a special event. In preparation for parties and events, will work together with our maintenance staff to ensure the rooms are clean, correctly set up and decorated as needed. As a member of the staff, will work closely with other employees to bring a positive and memorable experience for all party guest and special event attendees. Selected individual will be responsible for set-up and clean-up of the party or event space, implementing pre-preplanned activities, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in working condition, supervising children ages 2 and up. Will be required to attend regular training and staff meetings. Qualifications: Must be creative and demonstrated ability to work with people of all ages and to deal with situations calmly. Excellent customer service skills in order to promote our District’s programs and services. An intermediate level of written and verbal communication in the English language is required and CPR/AED certified or have the ability to become certified (through our district) within thirty (30) days. Education: High schooldiploma (or equivalent) or currently enrolled in a state approved high school program Availability: Hours vary based on the needs of event to include day, evening and weekend hours.
