Consider our Material Handler position with Bastian SolutionsA Material Handler is responsible for a variety of Material Handling tasks, including but not limited to picking, staging and kitting of purchased and manufactured parts to support assembly and shipping operations, forklift operations, shipping and receiving operations, cycle counts of inventory, etc. This position requires a forklift certification as well as handling/sorting of parts into racks, carts or containers throughout the day. Job Duties: Unloading, loading, put away, transporting to packing line and staging areasManage the coordination of shipping & receiving schedules for the facility; generation of picking Bill of Materials as neededHandling and sorting of parts into pallet racks, staging carts or and containers; forklift operation is a function of positionIdentify missing parts or incomplete orders, shipments or kits and escalate as necessary to ensure ship dates are not missedEnsure inventory accuracy by continuously improving the inventory and staging kitting systemThis position will require assisting in various areas as needed based on project demand Job Functions: Ability to pass Bastian Powered Industrial Vehicle and operate industrial equipment (fork truck, walkie, pallet jack, etc.)Ability to lift, walk, stand, and perform additional maneuvers with objects between 50-75 lbs.Ability to operate heavy duty equipment in a safeProficiency in Microsoft Office products are highly preferredAbility to read engineering printsA Material Handler will be able to perform at least MH functions (staging, receiving, shipping)Strong mechanical acumen has proven to be successfully in this role Preferred Skills & Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalentExperience with Inventory Management/allocation is a requirementAn active certification operating a Forklift and other industrial vehicle equipmentMaintaining a clean and safe work area utilizing the principles of 5S About Bastian Solutions: Bastian Solutions, a Toyota Advanced Logistics company, is an independent material handling and robotics system integrator providing automated solutions for distribution, manufacturing, and order fulfillment centers around the world.
