Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is hiring Caregivers, Home Health Aides (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Personal Care Aides (PCA), Direct Support Professionals (DSP), and Home Care Assistants to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults in Crown Point, Lake County, and Porter County. Why You’ll Love Working With Us Flexible scheduling — PRN and Part-Time positions All shifts offered: days, evenings, overnights, weekends Paid orientation + ongoing training Supportive office staff available 24/7 Work close to home in Crown Point and nearby areas Provide one-on-one care that truly makes a difference Competitive hourly pay + recognition for excellent performance Caregiver Job Responsibilities Caregivers will support clients by providing: Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, ambulation, transfers) Companionship, conversation, and emotional support Light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organization Safe mobility assistance (walker, wheelchair) Medication reminders (no administration required) Observing and reporting any changes in condition Using a mobile app for clock-in/out, care notes, and communication Following infection control and safety procedures Maintaining confidentiality and professional standards Caregiver Requirements High school diploma or GED Preferred: 1+ year experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, DSP, or similar role Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance Able to pass a national background check Current CPR certification and TB test (or willing to obtain prior to start) Dependable, compassionate, professional, and patient Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication Position Details Position Type: PRN or Part-Time Schedule: Flexible — days, evenings, overnights, weekends Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt Location: Crown Point, IN + surrounding Lake & Porter County communities Reports To: Staffing Coordinator We’re Hiring Now We review applications daily and are actively scheduling caregiver interviews.
