Posting Summary The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking multiple post-doctoral associates to join the Tom Lin laboratory within the Department of Medicinal Chemistry as soon as possible. Successful candidates will participate in NIH-funded projects. Position Status Full Time Posting Number 25FA0852 Posting Open Date 09/10/2025 Posting Close Date 09/10/2026 Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience A Ph.D. or Doctorate degree in a relevant research field is required. Knowledge of protein purification, molecular cloning, anti-cancer research, imaging is preferred but not required at all. Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Candidates must be able to: Demonstrate a solid training background in 1 of the 3 areas: Proteomics, Organic/Medicinal Chemistry, and Cell Biology. Multiple training backgrounds from these areas are not required at all. Devote 40-50% research time to 1 of the 3 areas. Use 50% research time freely to develop independent interests aligned with lab’s research topics including Arginylation, Cell Engineering, Chemical Proteomics, Degrader Development, Drug Discovery, Proteomics, PTMs, Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD). Design, develop and perform experimental methods for various projects. Develop, write and publish research findings and reviews related to the projects. Participate fully as a team player inside the lab. Assist graduate and undergraduate students in research activities. Assist in preparation of manuscripts, presentations, conferences, and grants.
