About the job: George Fox University, a Christ-centered institution, invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions across various academic disciplines within the Portland Seminary. Adjunct faculty play a crucial role in delivering high-quality instruction while fostering student engagement in a supportive Christian learning environment. Teaching opportunities may vary by department and semester. Job Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:Teach courses in alignment with the university's mission and learning objectives.Develop and implement effective instructional strategies that promote student engagement.Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.Utilize the university's learning management system (Canvas) for course management.Maintain professionalism and adhere to university policies.Communicate effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect, and service.Serve as a Christian role model to students, both inside and outside the classroom.Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.Other duties as assigned.We Are Looking for Candidates Who Have: A relevant terminal degree.Relevant ministry experience.Demonstrated expertise in subject matter and commitment to student learning.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.A commitment to integrating faith and learning within the academic discipline.Legal authorization to work in the United States.
