Veterinary Nurse

If you are a Veterinary Nurse looking for an opportunity in the Roaring Fork Valley of Colorado, we would like to hear from you. We are an AAHA accredited practice with Fear Free certified staff, located in Carbondale that provides a full range of in-patient care, dentistry, surgery and emergency services. We are looking for a technically skilled individual with broad experience that is interested in joining our team and helping provide care to the people and pets of the Roaring Fork Valley.

Duties include (but are not limited to):
* Prepare patients for surgery/dentistry; help in administering anesthetics, monitor patients during surgery and recovery; assist in surgery; administer fluids; perform support therapy to patients in surgery and post-op
* Outpatient and Nurse appointment facilitation
* Communicate with clients regarding the medical status of their pet.
* Provide accurate information to clients concerning fees, hospital policies, etc.
* Patient care and treatment including assisting in medical or surgical procedures such as irrigating wounds, medication, cleansing wounds, and bandaging. Perform the full range of “tableside” assistance to the practitioners.
* Perform clinical laboratory procedures for in-house diagnostics as well as prepare samples for shipment to laboratory and prepare laboratory requisition
* Radiology
* Triage and emergency skills
* Demonstrate initiative and teamwork in everyday duties
