Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

*Job Summary:*
Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented *Diagnostic Medical Sonographer* to perform high-quality ultrasound imaging for a variety of procedures, including General, OB-GYN, Vascular, and Cardiology. The role involves patient preparation, operating ultrasound equipment, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation for physician interpretation.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Conduct diagnostic ultrasound imaging for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency room patients, ensuring accurate and high-quality results.
* Explain procedures to patients and position them appropriately for optimal imaging.
* Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, including Siemens, Phillips, and GE machines, ensuring safety and functionality.
* Assist physicians with specialized procedures such as biopsies and aspirations, adhering to sterile techniques.
* Perform various Doppler exams, including venous and carotid Doppler studies.
* Document patient information, enter charges, and prepare records for interpretation.
* Participate in equipment maintenance and promptly report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
* Provide patient transportation assistance as needed and collaborate with clinical staff in surgical settings.
*Qualifications:*
* Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
* Certification by ARDMS or ARRT (Sonography) required or registry-eligible.
* CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and hospital safety protocols.
*Skills and Competencies:*
* Proficient in performing General, OB-GYN, and Vascular ultrasound studies.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to provide excellent patient care.
* Familiarity with hospital software systems such as Cerner and Epic.
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
