Location:

Open to fully remote candidates in the following states: AL, AK, AZ, CT, FL, GA, HI, IN, IA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, NC, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, WA.

EA/CPA candidates are encouraged to apply If you are interested in getting your EA license, after 90 days you would qualify for the EA study materials and be reimbursed for the test if you pass all parts of the exam

Compensation: 60-70K per year depending on experience

On a day to day, you will:

Client Engagement:

Dedicate your time to building lasting connections with small business owners through phone calls and messages, providing empathetic guidance and reassurance throughout their financial journey.

Analyze client feedback and market trends to identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and initiatives to upsell additional services and expand client relationships.

You will be measured on how well you drive client retention and maximize revenue growth, focusing on increasing net revenue retention of refunds and renewals from your advisory clients.

Collaborative Accounting Expertise:

Utilize accounting expertise to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial processes, including a deep understanding of tax strategy and accounting principles.

We're not just preparing returns but crafting financial strategies to ensure our client's long-term success and prosperity.

You will be measured on building and maintaining a portfolio of clients' subscriptions while advising small business and entrepreneurial tax matters.

Small Business Growth and Accounting Insights:

Drive business growth, increase client retention, and identify opportunities to offer additional products and services.

Leverage advanced tax strategy knowledge and accounting insights to optimize financial strategies for clients, including tax-efficient entity structuring, credits, deductions, and incentives.

Tech-Savvy Learning Agility:

Grow your tax expertise by researching complex tax subjects, guiding clients through the accounting portal system, and staying up-to-date on the latest tax codes, mainly focusing on advanced tax planning techniques.

Effectively use spreadsheets, tax preparation, and bookkeeping software in day-to-day tasks, including advanced functionalities for tax strategy analysis and reporting.

Communication and Process Improvement:

Provide timely and professional communication with clients via a softphone/messaging system, ensuring a seamless client experience.

Collaborate cross-functionally to align task completion with your tax and accounting strategies and adapt to process and system changes.

Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives focusing on tax efficiency and compliance.

What you'll bring to the team:

Must be Bilingual in Spanish

Tax Expertise: 2+ years of experience preparing individual tax returns and 1+ years of experience preparing small business tax returns, with a strong background in tax strategy and tax accounting principles.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain intricate tax concepts clearly and understandably.

Independence: Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while actively collaborating with team members and clients.

Technologically Proficient: Proficiency in spreadsheets, tax preparation, and bookkeeping software, with advanced skills in leveraging technology for tax optimization and strategy analysis.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to process and system changes and stay up-to-date on the latest tax codes, mainly focusing on changes impacting tax strategy and planning.

Coachability: Willingness to receive feedback and learn from others to continuously improve performance and knowledge.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
