Radiology Technologist Intern

* *Location:* Morristown, NJ 07960
* *Pay Rate:* $65-$72 per hour
* *Schedule:* 5 days per week, with shift hours varying based on department needs. Weekend and weekday on-call requirements included.
*Required Qualifications:*
* *Experience*: 3-5 years of experience as an *Interventional Radiologic Technologist* or *Cardiovascular Technologist*.
* *Licensure*: Current *NJ Radiographic Licensure* and *ARRT Radiography (R)* certification.
* *Certification*: *BLS* certification from an approved American Heart Association or equivalent.
*Skills & Knowledge*:
* Strong understanding of *interventional radiology* equipment and fluoroscopic modalities.
* Ability to think critically and assist proceduralists during complex neuro-interventional cases.
* Proficient in operating PACS systems and documenting in EMRs.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Experience with *neuro-interventional* procedures is a plus.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist
* Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
* The ability to identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases
* The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist
* The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures
* Strong communication skills using closed loop communication
* The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load
* Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologist, and vascular surgeons
* Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra/PACs system
* Groin management post intervention
* Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care in a fast-paced environment
* BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures
* Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state (defined in above JD.)
* This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist (CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.
