Job Overview Norman Regional Health System is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our innovative cardiovascular program. This role involves preparing equipment, providing patient care, and maintaining a sterile environment in a state-of-the-art facility.
About the Role This position requires collaboration with cardiologists and electrophysiologists, ensuring seamless patient care and excellent outcomes. The ideal candidate should possess relevant certifications, experience in procedural areas, and strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
Key Responsibilities Preparation of equipment before and during procedures
Identification and assessment of patient condition, preparation, positioning, and provision of patient care
Maintenance of a sterile environment
Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff
Effective use of downtime by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks assigned by Charge person or manager
Qualifications and Requirements Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, eligibility for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), and/or current RCIS certification
Previous experience in procedural areas preferred
American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration and/or RCIS certification; CV or CI and/or VI certification preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) training required prior to providing patient care, with ongoing maintenance of BLS certification throughout employment; ACLS training to be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter
Compensation and Benefits $27.84-$45.46 per hour based on previous work experience
