About the Position
The Lead Groomer is an integral position at Scenthound, offering expert grooming knowledge, providing leadership
to a team of groomers and bathers, and facilitating training to new groomers. This position requires:
At least 2 years of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school
∙Knowledge of dog breeds, their grooming and care standards, and tools of the trade
∙Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
∙Reliable transportation
∙Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment

Groomer is knowledgeable, perceptive, patient, adaptable, and a compassionate dog lover We are looking for a
motivating leader who can assess the needs, strengths, and weaknesses of their team members to provide effective
learning opportunities.
Tasks
∙Groom to Scenthound standards while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the grooming and
bathing teams
∙Create an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork
∙Teach new groomers the Scenthound standards; provide ongoing coaching and mentorship
∙Identify when/ where help is needed and provide assistance to keep Scenter on schedule
∙Ensure safety of dogs and team members at all times
∙Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
∙Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager

Who we are: Scenthound is NOT an ordinary dog grooming shop. Dogs require routine grooming in order to
stay clean, comfortable and healthy. With a focus on health, and not just haircuts, Scenthound is pioneering
change in an outdated industry. We are the largest independently-owned dog grooming business in Palm
Beach County. Our innovative wellness-focused, membership-based business model is the basis for a franchise
concept poised to explode in South Florida in 2019. It is our goal to make basic grooming and monthly
maintenance accessible and affordable for all dogs. Scenthound offers its members reliable care on a regular
schedule in a clean, safe, loving environment.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
∙One to two years of grooming experience (recent grooming school grads will be considered)
∙Must love dogs and have a great deal of patience and empathy
∙Be a team player with a positive attitude and good energy
∙Must be able to stand for long periods of time and do physical work all-day
∙Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
∙Available to work weekends (8-5 on Saturdays and 11-4 on Sundays)
∙Ability to listen and respond to requests and feedback from Customers and Management
∙Keep a clean, organized work environment
