Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting the physician in providing quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary eye examinations, including visual acuity and color vision testing
- Administer diagnostic tests such as tonometry and visual field testing
- Assist with patient history taking and documentation
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education
- Assist with minor surgical procedures
- Maintain inventory of ophthalmic supplies

- Assist in scribing for the physician

- Returns phone calls to patients and pharmacies

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of patient care protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
- Solid understanding of ocular anatomy and common eye diseases
