Position Overview

The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of AWS cloud infrastructures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure that cloud solutions meet our clients' performance, security, and scalability requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and optimize AWS cloud environments to ensure high availability, scalability, and security
  • Collaborate with development, IT, and cybersecurity teams to design and deploy cloud-based solutions
  • Assist in cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions to AWS environments
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible
  • Ensure AWS cloud services adhere to security and compliance best practices
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize cloud infrastructure issues
  • Monitor system performance and security using AWS-native and third-party tools
  • Stay current with the latest AWS technologies, cloud best practices, and security protocols


Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • At least 5 years of relevant IT or cybersecurity experience
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and others
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, and cloud compliance
  • Experience with cloud automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools in AWS environments
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities


Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or Developer certification
  • Experience in managing DevOps pipelines and automation tools in a cloud environment
  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP
  • Experience working in secure government or public sector environments
