Family Nurse Practitioner

NOW HIRING A-Line is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide high-quality primary care services to the female population at our correctional facility. The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Ohio and have at least one year of experience working in primary care settings. This full-time, on-site position offers weekdays-only hours (no evenings, weekends, or holidays), with flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the facility.

Job Description:
As part of our team, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive health care services, including assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and patient education, to a diverse female patient population within a correctional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services, including preventive care, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of common medical conditions.
- Manage and monitor chronic health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and other long-term illnesses.
- Provide women’s health services, including routine screenings, reproductive health care, and menopause management.
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and administrative staff to ensure patient care is comprehensive and coordinated.
- Document patient histories, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and promptly in the facility’s medical records system.
- Educate patients about self-care and disease prevention to enhance health outcomes.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and protocols related to patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of NP work experience in primary care (required).
- Active NP license in the state of Ohio (required).
- Experience working with diverse populations and/or in a correctional setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions in a correctional environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to security protocols.
