Job Summary
Maize Cocina & Cocktails, new Mexican fusion restaurant opening in the heart of Westfield, NJ is Hiring We are looking for Dishwashers to complete our  team

As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, sheet pans, pots, pans, utensils, and baking equipment through manual and machine cleaning methods.

Responsibilities 
    • Wash sheet pans, dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans or all equipment used for production using dishwasher machine or by hand if necessary.
    • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
    • Place clean pans, utensils, and cooking equipment in the assigned storage areas.
    • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
    • Clean garbage cans with water or steam
    • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, refrigeration, tables, etc. (including weekly deep cleaning).
    • Clean and maintain FOH areas and curbside as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with local health department and other regulations.
    • Follow proper open/close protocols.
    • Flexibility to cover open shifts if needed.
    • Assist in training new dishwashers.
    • Assist in general tasks as specified by Executive Chef and CDC.

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience as dishwasher in an upscale casual restaurant kitchen
  • Safe Serve Food Handlers License
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to carry up to 25lb 
  • English or Spanish fluency
  • Ability to work evening, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to go up and down the stairs during the shift
