Job Description Summary
The Millturn Setup is responsible for setting up and operate machines in millturn department to ensure that jobs meet requirement and on time. Additional responsibilities includes providing guidance to operators to finish up assigned jobs.
Essential Duties
· Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence or operations, and setup requirements
· Setup and operate CNC Mill Turning centers such as Mori Seiki NL, NLX, and NTX Model
· Responsible for setup and operation of more than one machine at one time when required
· Uses inspection tools (like height gauge, optical comparators, thread gauges, plugs gauges, micrometers, verniers, indicators, etc.) to check in-process work for adherence to certain specification and complete written inspection reports
· Accurately complete paperwork related to counts, scrap, time, etc., according to Company policy, such as First Article Inspection results, job travelers, non-conformance reports, and/or any associated paperwork
· Collect data and follow data collection procedures at the workstation for each operation
· Make edits and adjustments as required to produce parts per work order/ blueprint specifications
· Maintains and monitors the performance of the machine and/or equipment for signs of problems, such as vibrating work piece, breakage of cutting tools, etc.
· Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
· Participates in continuous improvement teams and activities

Supervisory Responsibilities
· Provides training and guidance to other Millturn Operators
Computer / Technical Skills
· Basic data entry
Qualifications
· Certificate of Completion of Machining Technology training or equivalent is required, Bachelor’s degree is a plus
· Minimum of five years or more prior CNC machining center setup and operating experience with Mill/ Turning and Lathe equipment
· Knowledge in programming, setting up, and operating the Mill/ Turning centers, such as Mori Seiki (NL, NLX, and NTX model)
· Must be able to read and interpret GD&T drawing
· Must be able to inspect work for all dimensional features as required
· Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application
· Demonstrate knowledge of normal CNC Mill/Turning requirements such as basic program editing, inspection techniques, shop math, etc.
· Familiar with AS9100 Quality Management System a plus
· Attention to detail
· Must be able to work close tolerances
· Must be able to communicate clearly with peers and supervisors
· Ability to multitask effectively, while meeting deadlines
· Ability to work in fast paced environment with minimal supervision
· Exhibit a working knowledge of health and safety, responsible for safety awareness, and identify opportunities for improvement and take action, if appropriate, before a problem occurs
· Flexibility to work overtime required when necessary (weekdays or weekends)

· Must be a U.S. citizen as defined by ITAR (i.e. U.S. citizen, U.S permanent resident, or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
· Must follow AS9100/IS9100 quality standard and processes
· Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
· Knowledge of proper safety procedures and best practices in manufacturing environment
Transportation and Travel

· Able to wear all safety gear as required, such as safety glasses, earplugs, oil resistant shoes, etc.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus (corrective lenses are acceptable)
