1st Shift CNC Level 1 Router Operator

We are growing and looking to expand our team Our culture is built around safety, trust, respect, improvement and doing the right thing every day Visual Workplace Inc. is a national manufacturer of 5S, Lean and Safety signage for manufacturing environments. We are seeking a First Shift CNC Router Operator to support our operations team. We need candidates that have a great work ethic and attention to detail.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with and without experience that possess a mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Job Responsibilities

Shift – 1st 8:00am-4:30pm

Proficiently operate and maintain a variety of machinery, such as CNC routers, panel saws, drills, flatbed printers and other sign making equipment.

  • Interpret detailed files to set up machines accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct routine cleaning to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime across all machinery.
  • Monitor production processes to uphold the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate effectively with the production team to address challenges and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, maintaining a secure working environment.
  • Perform duties in accordance with the production schedule.
  • Be able to perform all aspects of machine start-ups, quality tests, process changes and shut-downs
  • Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions; adjust machines as necessary.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while working alone.
  • High individual level of quality, with proven contributions to the overall department quality.
  • Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
  • Able to read/understand and follow instructions
  • Change worn machine accessories such as cutting tools and brushes, using hand tools.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance
  • Maintain a clean work environment and work safely utilizing required PPE
  • Makes suggestions for ways to improve production process
  • Operate production equipment to produce good, quality product in an efficient/quality-oriented manner.
  • Notify supervisors when service is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Highly energetic and willing to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities as dictated by customer demand
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Computer skills Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently
  • Inspect work with attention detail
  • Require standing, bending, lifting materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
