This position will support the Chief Scientist of the Air Force located in the Pentagon, full time. Secret clearance required.

Seeking skilled professional to provide specialized secretariat and executive level administrative support for the Headquarters Air Force/Space Force’s most senior leadership. Preferred the applicant is familiar with military customs and courtesies, have strong oral and written communication skills, experience with supporting executive level personnel and have an understanding of the government process, specifically the DoD.

Job duties will include managing calendars, planning and coordinating office events, field calls and visitors, staff and administer documents, review correspondence requiring Director's signature, quality control reviews of reports and documents for formatting and grammar, monitor and track correspondence, draft meeting minutes, maintain assigned files and records.

Perform other office functions as needed, such as, order supplies, escort visitors, book conference rooms, set up meetings, coordinate with IT office or other offices for technical support, etc.

Applicant must have familiarly with the Defense Travel System (DTS) to assist staff with travel authorizations and vouchers.

Applicant must have familiarity with the Task Management Tool (TMT) to manage the organization's TMT workflow mailbox daily to ensure taskers are coordinated and closed on time.

Qualifications

  • History working with Air Force/DoD entities is preferred
  • An Active DOD Secret Security Clearance is a must for this position
