Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Project Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations. This role requires expertise in electrical engineering design, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to oversee projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Design and Development: Develop and design electrical systems, schematics, and layouts for projects, including power distribution, lighting, wiring, and control systems, tailored to client specifications and industry standards.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct detailed technical analysis, calculations, and simulations to ensure the feasibility, safety, and reliability of designs.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget. Coordinate with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure alignment and effective project execution.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports. Ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements and industry codes.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components to identify and resolve issues, optimizing performance and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and construction teams, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-project evaluations, suggesting design and process improvements for future projects.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably within [industry, e.g., construction, manufacturing, or renewable energy].
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEEE standards) and safety regulations.
    • Familiarity with simulation and modeling software (e.g., ETAP, SKM PowerTools) is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve design challenges effectively.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration.
  • Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license or the intent to pursue one is preferred.

Working Conditions
