Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining settings, and possess a strong understanding of meal preparation and food handling techniques. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Assist in meal preparation and plating for service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with fine dining standards and practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
