BWK is looking for a hardworking, knowledgeable shop technician to join our team Our ideal candidate is someone with an unwavering commitment to excellence, who brings both passion and expertise to every task. We’re seeking a professional who is self-sufficient, capable of taking ownership of their assignments from start to finish, and consistently delivering high-quality work without needing constant supervision.

This is a role for someone who is reliable, loyal, and can be counted on to give their best effort every day. The technician we hire will demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, staying focused and following through on all tasks, no matter how big or small. We value individuals who are proactive, always looking for ways to solve problems and get the task done with efficiency and precision. If you take pride in your work, have a bias towards action, and can work independently with minimal direction, we want you on our team

You will be expected to own each task and complete every assignment to the highest standard, and bringing your A-game consistently. If you’re someone who is driven, dependable, and passionate about your work, and you’re ready to make an impact, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance on cars, trucks, and other vehicles.
  • Assist with tasks like oil changes, brake jobs, and tire rotations.
  • Support engine swaps by preparing tools, removing components, and helping with installations.
  • Help with bodywork tasks, such as sanding, cleaning, and prepping vehicles for repair or paint.
  • Use basic diagnostic tools to identify common vehicle issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning tools and equipment.
  • Follow instructions from the shop manager or lead mechanic to complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform safety checks on vehicles before returning them to customers.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing vehicle parts and supplies.
  • Ensure proper disposal of used parts, fluids, and waste materials.
  • Execute ad hoc tasks assign by ownership.

Qualifications:

  • Some experience or willingness to learn vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in automotive work.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take on physical tasks.
  • Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately.
  • Ability to lift heavy parts and work in various physical positions.
  • Familiarity with safety guidelines and willingness to follow shop protocols.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to operate customer and shop vehicles safely. No accidents, or D.L suspensions within three years.
