As a Programmer, you will:
- Nest, write, and optimize programs to cut parts for plasma and torch-cutting tables
- Provide the information required by the sales department to quote potential work orders, including machine setup, run time, inspection, and labor hours
- Assist plasma and laser table operators and provide training that will advance his/her skills
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with coworkers to promote a cooperative working climate conducive to maximum productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Participate and support Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Maintains 5S guidelines
- Communicate relevant information and concerns positively and effectively to others promptly
- Perform work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirements
Role Qualifications as a Programmer:
- Preferred candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent and one year of on-the-job experience programming with SolidWorks (or similar CAD), and SigmaNest (or similar nesting software)
- An A.S. degree with a concentration in Engineering Technology, Machine Trades, or CNC Machine Programming is helpful but not required
- Other combinations of formal training and experience will be considered
- Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, and geometric dimensioning and tolerances to .0005
- Computer literate; particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and shop floor control applications
- Knowledgeable concerning mechanical principles, fabrication practices, properties of metals, and the application of mathematics and dimensions to tooling and the production of machined parts
- Experience machining aluminum, stainless and carbon steels
- Knowledge and experience in fixture design
- Proficiency in converting SolidWorks into SigmaNest
- Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork
- Effective and appropriate oral and written communication skills, including legible handwriting in English

Salary disclaimer:
The actual base salary for this role is based on various factors, including but not limited to market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The range provided is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
