Job DescriptionAre you a skilled Automation/Controls Engineer ready to take on a challenging role in a dynamic manufacturing environment?We're seeking a talented Senior Automation/Controls Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with industry experts, and make a significant impact on our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Control System Development and Design: Lead the development and design of automation and control systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define specifications and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Control System Delivery: Oversee the delivery of hardware, software, and services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Control System Integration: Integrate plant industrial control systems into the IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Control System Validation: Validate control systems through rigorous testing and commissioning processes.
  • Control System Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert troubleshooting and optimization support for control systems.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Automation/Controls, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial automation and controls, with a strong focus on Siemens PLC systems
  • Proficiency in SCADA, HMI, and various communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profibus, MQTT, fiber optics)
  • Experience with process instrumentation and control system integration, commissioning, and startup
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations (NFPA/NEC, UL, OSHA)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Industry 4.0 concepts
  • Knowledge of Ignition design
  • Experience in the plastics industry, particularly with line and shredding operations
