Duration: 4 months of contract possibilities for an extension.
Hours: 40 Hours a week job.
Shift:  8:30AM TO 5:00PM 
Hybrid Role.

Generic job description:

  • Candidate will need to go onsite 1-2 times per week.
  • Three contractors to work a backlog of payroll tax related registrations and other items.
  • We are looking for three Payroll Tax Specialist to handle address payroll tax related registrations and other administrative tasks.

As a Payroll Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Administrative items related to payroll tax.
  • Reconciling tax payments internally.
  • State Local Unemployment and federal tax registrations.
  • Three needed to bring down the backlog one will stay on longer to maintain the work and for conidiation for full time role if opportunity presents.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in public administration, HR management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a payroll function.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with federal and state payroll/wage laws.
  • Business/fiscal management acumen and HR competencies.
  • Knowledge of collective bargaining requirements related to payroll.
  • Understanding of state government organization and agency functions.
