Intelinair, an Indianapolis, Ind. based ag technology company, is seeking talented individuals who wish to continue building digital agronomy and customer service skills by experiencing an internship role designed to assist with customer service and further development of the AGMRI app and in-field crop analytics.

Location: Hybrid role - in field/home-office based in Illinois or Indiana

Internship Project Goals:

Support the continued development of AGMRI in-season analytics by:

  • Utilizing aggregate databases to uncover agronomic trends and actionable insights for AGMRI customers through the crop growing season.

  • Working collaboratively with the Intelinair team, comprised of engineering, commercial, and machine learning specialists, to develop timely and actionable insights for AGMRI

  • Completing assigned field scouting, working collaboratively with other team members in support of farmer or ag retailer customers and/or the analytics development.

  • Enhancing customer trust in the integrity of the imagery and analytics for better in-field insight delivery.

  • Using knowledge and experience to complete a special project and prepare and present project findings to the Intelinair team.

Key Deliverables:


  1. Learn and use Intelinair’s AGMRI platform and the Looker platform to analyze data and create and deliver reports.

  2. In-season field scouting/ground truthing reports on assigned fields, as needed, using AGMRI.

  3. Provide inputs on agronomic factors which could be impacting the AGMRI app performance.

  4. Participate in project team meetings to review findings, offer suggestions, and trial new features on the app.

  5. Participate in customer meetings, as requested by Intelinair team members.

  6. Completion of a special project as assigned, and present final project summary and highlights at the end of the internship.

  • Offer ideas and suggestions to project team members on digital agronomy activities and deliverables.



Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in an agricultural related field – agronomy, general agriculture, ag business and/or digital ag.

  • Experience working with or using any digital ag applications is a plus.

  • Experience using Looker, Google’s business intelligence (BI) platform that helps users access, analyze, and act on their business data, is a plus.

  • Internship candidates should have a basic understanding of row crop production in the U.S. Midwest, including agronomic principles and crop management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as is the ability to be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs relative to the time of the crop growing season.

  • Working in a collaborative environment is a strong indicator of success in this position.

  • Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and operate effectively as a team member.

  • Experience working in Microsoft Office 365 suite is a plus.

  • Willing and able to travel to customer locations within rural areas in Indiana and Illinois.

  • Ability to work in an outdoor/field environment.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle with proper/current registration and insurance, and have the ability to travel independently.
