Welder Helper

IPS – RMB Products is seeking a Welder Helper who will assist the Welder with remedial tasks that allow a more focused approach for the welders to remain busy with the needed workload, while allowing the helper to get some job experience and knowledge in the welding industry.

Job Accountabilities:

• Primary activity is the assisting in Fabricating and Welding of production hardware, tooling, fixturing and production molds
• Requires the ability to weld-prep by sawing, and hand grinding for a good weld fit up to help produce quality welds by the processes certified to and called out on work order or drawings
• Assist in Fabricating pipe/vessels per drawings
• Provide support to the machine shop and production molding as workloads dictate; typical support may include drilling & tapping, sawing, polishing, and burning of steel shapes and details and rolling rings for rotomolded projects.

Job Specifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Years’ Experience: 0-1 years of relevant experience

Skills:

• Preferably a base knowledge of welding and fabrication knowledge
• Good job history and stability required
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Lifting of 50LBS.
• All PPE will be supplied except steel toe shoes. Steel toe shoes are the responsibility of the operator
