JOB SUMMARY:
Astound is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Procurement Manager or Head of Procurement to oversee all procurement activities. This role requires expertise in managing materials, sourcing, and logistics for large-scale project-based operations, including trade show installations, events, and specialized fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of production workflows, including reading and interpreting design plans and detail drawings, to ensure all materials align with project requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.


KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop and lead the procurement strategy for Astound’s Las Vegas headquarters, ensuring alignment with project timelines, cost efficiency, and quality standards.
  • Source and manage relationships with vendors for materials and services required for projects, including trade shows, events, and specialized production needs.
  • Collaborate closely with production, design, and project management teams to understand project scopes and technical requirements.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
  • Review and interpret design plans, detail drawings, and technical specifications to source suitable materials and ensure project alignment.
  • Implement procurement best practices to optimize cost control, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring that stock levels align with project demands without overstocking.
  • Develop and manage a procurement budget and track performance against established KPIs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of procurement experience, preferably in project-based industries such as trade shows, events, or custom fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, supply chain logistics, and sourcing in a production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret design plans, detail drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in ERP and procurement management systems (experience in ERP implementation is advantageous).
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPSM, PMP) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a detail-oriented and solution-driven mindset.
