The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical support, implementation, and maintenance services for projects involving Yokogawa Centum VP distributed control system (DCS). The Engineer will collaborate with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure the successful execution of projects and the optimal performance of Centum VP systems.

 

System Design and Implementation:

  • Utilize Yokogawa Centum VP to design and configure control systems based on project requirements.
  • Develop functional specifications, control strategies, and system architectures.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure the successful installation and commissioning of Centum VP systems.
  • Perform system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.

Project Support:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Conduct system upgrades, modifications, and expansions, as necessary.
  • Familiarity with Yokogawa Virtualized system
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Maintenance and Support:

  • Perform routine maintenance activities, including system backups, software updates, and performance monitoring.
  • Respond to system alarms, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to clients and address their inquiries or issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of system operators and end-users.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

Generate reports summarizing system performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvement.
