Overview

Great Escapes RV Resorts is a growing company specializing in acquisition, development, and management of RV Resorts throughout the United States. Our leaders serve a diverse sector of the RV resort / hospitality industry. We are seeking individuals who possess the skills and interest to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team.

The Cafe Leader is part of the operations team. They provide leadership, help the business grow, and make meaningful connections with the team. Under the supervision of the Sales Manager this position assists with the day-to-day operations in the café. A team Leader role models how to cultivate positive guest experience through a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Offer and role model excellent customer service and cultural leadership with loving, accessible, and informed demeanor.
  • Build strong working relationships with Team Members and other team leaders: willingly help others and contribute to a fun and productive work environment.
  • Ensures smooth opening, closings, and shift transitions, with critical communications between staff.
  • Takes a lead in ensuring a safe, secure, and sanitized work environment and customer facing areas.
  • Assists manager with training of new te4am members and consistently coaches the use of operational tools and following standard operating procedures.
  • Support by communicating new information to team members and supports goal achievements.
  • Safeguards company assets including cash, inventory, equipment, and proprietary information.
  • Assist Café and management as necessary to ensure the highest quality of product and service is delivered to the customer.
  • Prepares food according to item specifications; understanding and planning the future productions and mass productions; preparing for seasonality; adhering to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management; operating, maintaining, and sanitizing equipment; and demonstrating an understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the resort experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pick up orders,
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions; payment types; locating merchandise; and resolving member issues and concerns.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience or similar role
  • Working knowledge of culinary terms and preparations.
  • Ability to work food preparation.
  • Follow all recipes & plating specifications as directed.
  • Flexible/varied schedule availability to meet the needs of the business
  • Maintain personal hygiene standards in accordance with State Health Standards for Food Service Employees.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all personnel.

Physical Demands

Employee is regularly required to remain stationary for long periods of time. Must be able to move up to 50 pounds. Constant use of hands and arms to input data into computer, scoop ice cream, prepare food. Must be able to move boxes of stock from freezer or cooler to kitchen area and must be able to squat and stoop to retrieve low boxes or supplies. Must be able to converse directly with guests.
