The Opportunity:

Do you consider yourself a leader in the digital sales/e-commerce space? The Product Manager is the owner of setting the strategic direction and spearheading the execution efforts of the Digital Sales team in the USA. You will report to the Senior Manager of the Digital Supply Chain while collaborating closely with the Digital Operations team, Digital platform team, Digital project team, Digital omnichannel team, offline merchandising team, and third-party platforms. You will manage the Digital Sales team and will have the Digital Sales Specialist reporting to you.

This role involves selecting online products, conducting product presentations, and managing products online to align with customer expectations. Driving an increase through online sales, achieving growth profit targets, and ensuring good online customer shopping experience in the USA market.

You Will:

  • Develop an online sales strategy for the USA and implement plans to ensure the growth of online sales, margin budgets and exceptional online customer shopping experience along with other strategic objectives of the company
  • Coordinate with US offline merchandising, pricing, and replenishment teams to synchronize online/offline strategies, including merchandising, pricing, product promotion, and replenishment, enhancing the multichannel customer experience
  • Cooperate with Digital platform team, Digital project team, Digital omnichannel team to ensure promotions, events, new projects to be implemented on time with good quality and ensure good online customer shopping experience
  • Engage with other internal business partners such as Marketing, Operations, Merchandising, and IT to ensure effective execution of products and promotional plans
  • Oversee the development and management of merchandising, assortment, inventory, and replenishment plans, including timelines for launching new online categories to boost sales
  • Establish KPIs and monitor the performance of the Digital Sales team in the USA
  • Track and report on the progress of related projects, focusing on team development and enhancing multichannel/online merchandising skills
  • Analyze and report on product selection, sales, pricing, market trends, etc., to identify new sales opportunities and ensure profitability
  • Share best practices and stay informed of emerging trends by networking with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in setting pricing guidelines and achieving sales and gross profit expectations
  • Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by the Senior Manager

You Should Have:

  • 5+ years of digital sales experience, preferably encompassing both traditional Grocery Market retail and e-commerce sales
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in digital marketing or related field
  • Strong technical knowledge of product categories, specifications, and pricing, including understanding of produce grading & standards, FDA regulations and required standards
  • Microsoft Office with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of Magento platform is a plus, experience in forecasting tools or modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is an asset
  • A keen interest in, understanding of and passion for merchandising and e-commerce in both B2C and B2B sectors
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment, valuing new ideas
  • Experienced in project management, with the capacity to deliver on job responsibilities within set timelines
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with sound business judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with American trade practices
  • Outstanding interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills

T&T Supermarkets is marking over 30 years as Canada’s favorite Asian grocery store and recently announced the first store location in the United States. Our growth into the US offers great opportunities within our first US flagship store, set to open in 2024 in Bellevue, Washington in the Marketplace at Factoria, spanning 76,000 sq.ft. and will stand as the largest Asian specialty supermarket in Washington state.

We have additional plans for growth and will also be establishing a regional office in the greater Los Angeles area to grow T&T Supermarket’s vendor base with American food suppliers.
