ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor include, but are not limited to:
    • Manages and maintains manufacturing equipment (or work with preferred vendors to do so)
    • Supervises the maintenance and repair of the manufacturing facility
    • Performs carpentry, electrical, welding and plumbing duties as required
    • Supervises the activities of Maintenance Associates
    • Supervises and performs preventative maintenance and repairs and assures compliance to all building codes
    • Requisitions and maintains maintenance supplies and equipment in an orderly manner
    • Regularly inspects machinery in operation to assure proper functioning
    • Analyzes and resolves equipment problems or assists operators in solving work equipment problems
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Plant Manager
    • General knowledge of the operation of air-jet and mechanical mills, ribbon blenders, turbo screens and vibratory screens
    • General knowledge of the assembly, disassembly, cleaning, passivation and inspection of manufacturing equipment
    • Follows Standard Operating Procedures and adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices
    • Follows Good Documentation Practices; records all pertinent operations in logbooks and controlled documents
    • Reports to the Plant Manager
