Job Overview

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing an exceptional breakfast experience for Marriott guests while mainlining the highest standards of food service, cleanliness, an guest satisfaction. This role ensures the breakfast area remains well-stocked, clean and welcoming throughout the morning service period.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet area according to Marriott standards
  • Monitor and replenish food items, beverages, and supplies throughout service
  • Prepare hot and cold breakfast items following standardized recipes
  • Clean and sanitize service areas, equipment, and dining areas
  • Monitor food temperatures and maintain food safety logs
  • Assist guests with special requests and dietary requirements
  • Remove and properly store leftover food items
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment (coffee makers, toasters, warmers)
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining room tables, chairs, and floors
  • Process guest feedback and resolve concerns promptly
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and other departments as needed
  • Prepare the items for the next day.
  • Constantly check expiration dates of food items and inform the management about their status.
  • Review all fridges at desired temperatures and record the temperatures at the beginning and end of the shift, inform management of any irregularities.
  • Make a list of the items running out and hand it to management.
  • Properly stack and organize items when they are received from the vendor.
  • Provides quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipes and presentation standards.
  • Welcome customers and be proactive in addressing guest needs
  • Help team members with their tasks during downtime, which may include some simple food preparation and light cleaning
  • Upsell other store items
  • Be willing to work weekends and select holidays
  • Be willing to participate in paid training possible paid pre- official opening tasks
  • Complete all additional tasks given by management

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous related experience preferred
  • Maintain Marriott's high standards for food presentation
  • Ensure consistent quality of breakfast items
  • Follow all brand standards for setup and presentation
  • Maintain proper food rotation and storage
  • Adherent to portion control guidelines
  • Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently
  • Manual dexterity for food preparation and cleaning tasks
  • Comfortable working in both hot and cold temperatures

Grooming

All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/ or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as part of the orientation process.

Schedule

  • Early morning availability (typical shifts start between 6:00 am to 9:00 am Monday through Friday and 7:00 am to 10:00 am Saturday and Sunday.
  • Weekend and holiday availability required
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule based on business needs
  • Full-time and part-time positions available
