The Mold & Tooling Technician is responsible for optimizing machine production on the Molding Floor while maintaining a safe working environment. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Operate molding presses to open or close molds for repairs.
- Troubleshoot basic problems within the molding process.
- Setting & pulling molds, ridding molds of debris, inspecting molds for completeness before set-up.
- Ability to wire & check mold heaters.
- Test molds by air, water & electricity before leaving the shop.
- Notify the Tooling manager regarding damage to molds.
- Record all maintenance that is completed on every mold.
Targeted Skillsets & Requirements
- 1 year of experience working in a mechanical or technical role, such as a car mechanic, entry level maintenance technician, or carpentry/plumbing, etc.
- Good problem solving & analytical skills.
- Ability to read & analyze blueprints, including electrical components surrounding heaters & blowers.
- Must be able to articulate mechanical knowledge within the interview process & pass a mechanical aptitude test.
- Must be able to multi-task & work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Forklift & crane certification preferred.
Pay & Schedule
2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm - $24.67/hour with a $.75 shift differential
3rd Shift: 11:00pm – 7:00am - $24.67/hour with a $1.00 shift differential
5 days on, 2 days off – schedule will be determined after interview
