The Field Trainer is responsible for delivering virtual training programs to field employees, ensuring effective skill development, and driving continuous professional growth across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and organize virtual training sessions and content for field staff.
  • Communicate pre-training requirements to Regional, District, and Property Managers.
  • Conduct virtual "train-the-coach" sessions to prepare peer coaches for success in the field.
  • Maintain accurate training records using the training tracker.
  • Deliver training sessions focused on upskilling and developing field employees.
  • Provide training support during acquisitions to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Facilitate remedial training when necessary, ensuring employees meet performance standards.
  • Administer post-training surveys to gather feedback and improve future sessions.
  • Conduct skills assessments to evaluate learner progress and competency.
  • Foster a culture of continuous professional development among field teams.
  • Assist in additional projects aligned with the department’s strategic goals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the self-storage rental industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Webex.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion, diplomacy, and sound judgment.
  • Willingness to work occasional Saturdays for training classes, accommodating store closures and holidays.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in navigating websites and software programs, with effective typing and email management skills.

For candidates in Colorado, the hourly range for this position is $22 - $24. This range is estimated for this role and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
