Radiology Technician
Work Location: Wilmington, OH
Pay range is $26.00 to $40.00 per hour
Salary 54,050.00 – 83,200.00
First shift would be 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 4:30am.
Third Shift would be 5:30pm to 5:30am or 5:30pm to 3:30am.
They can work 3 12-hour shifts or 4 9-hour shifts. $4 shift differential. 15k Sign-on bonus.

SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures while observing patient safety protocol. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Licensure/Certifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Graduate of an approved school of Radiology Sciences with certification in diagnostic radiography.
· State of Ohio Radiologic License in Radiographer category.
· Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) [R.T.(R)(ARRT)].
· BLS Required
Experience:
· 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns, and extraneous radiation to patients.
· Responsible for safe handling of equipment.
· Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations.
· Assesses patients' understanding of process and informed consent of invasive procedures.
· Assesses, evaluates, and informs physician of changes in patient's condition during exam.
· Works under the direction of the Radiologist at all times.
· Selects appropriate equipment to use for procedures.
· Determines most suitable anatomical posture/positions and shields patients accordingly.
· Performs special radiographic examinations requiring special equipment and procedures such as intravenous pyelograms, intravenous cholangiograms, hysterosalpingograms, tomograms, cholangiography, arthrograms, myelograms, hip winnings, and vascular procedures in surgery.
· Programs portable or stationary x-ray machines and produces radiographs for a variety of examinations.
· Sends all information to Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) efficiently and effectively.
· Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
· Assists in maintaining basic records, reports, and files.
· Assists in training of students and ancillary personnel.
· Takes x-ray calls and works the appropriate weekend according to monthly schedule after the closing of the regular department hours.
· Works required Holiday(s).
· Keeps current with local fire and safety regulations.
· Possesses knowledge of hospital policies and the functions of the other departments.
· Practices continuing Infection Control with proper equipment and room cleaning, to provide a safe environment for all patients, at all times.
· Maintains regulatory requirements, including all state, federal, and The Joint Commission (TJC) regulations related to the Radiology Services Department and facility.
· Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
· Wears identification and dosimeter while on duty.
· Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and clerical responsibilities, as needed.
