Key Responsibilities:

  • System Installation: Install and assemble pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water supply, drainage, and gas lines.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret and execute plumbing installations from blueprints and specifications.
  • Pipefitting: Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools; install and connect plumbing components.
  • Fixture Installation: Install and maintain plumbing fixtures such as sinks, faucets, toilets, and water heaters.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks and clogs.
  • Pipe Inspection: Conduct inspections to proactively identify plumbing problems.
  • Backflow Prevention: Install and maintain devices to ensure water quality.
  • Pressure Testing: Conduct tests to identify leaks or weaknesses in systems.
  • Welding and Soldering: Join pipes and fittings as required.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside general contractors and electricians for seamless plumbing integration.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex plumbing issues effectively.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed and inspections conducted.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3 years of plumbing experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Journeyman License or Master License is a plus
