Senior Machinist
This position is responsible for producing a wide variety of highly intricate tools, gauges, jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, etc. for use in production machining
Essential Functions
- Progressively operates several types of machine tools and performs related hand and bench operations
- On occasion, produce prototype parts for engineering development and/or customer shipment
- Plans operations and makes extremely complicated set ups for self and others; on many occasions, improvising to devise the set up necessary
- Recommends changes in methods or designs based upon knowledge of metals and metal processing
- Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Able to hold close tolerances as outlined in the drawings provided
- Work with various types of material, including stainless steel, castings, Invar and various others
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of parts inspection and statistical process control.
- Requires the working knowledge of and use of hand tools, power tools, microscope, and electronic equipment.
- Must complete Apprenticeship training and have completed the Tool & Die curricula of an accredited technical institution or equivalent work experience of 5 – 10 years
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.
- Must be a US Citizen or be a US Permanent Residence Card Holder.
This position is located at our Pine Brook, NJ facility. Relocation assistance is not available.
