Metrics LLC is looking for a highly skilled and innovative Business Architect to join our team as we pursue an exciting opportunity with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Operations Security and Preparedness (OSP). This is a remote position, offering you the chance to contribute to meaningful work from wherever you are.

As a Business Architect, you will be a key driver of modernization and efficiency, leveraging your expertise to enhance the VA’s critical mission areas. Your efforts will directly impact the success of VA operations, ensuring better outcomes for veterans nationwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise-wide business processes and systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive business process reengineering to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute implementation plans to streamline VA operations and sustain process enhancements.
  • Perform gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with VA stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements aligned with strategic goals.
  • Create and apply tools and methodologies to analyze and present data, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Support the development of dashboards, reports, and documentation for management reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, VA policies, and performance standards.
  • Attend and lead project management meetings, providing regular status updates and delivering on project milestones.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business architecture or related roles.
  • Knowledge of Emergency Management Operations and Preparedness.
  • Knowledge of Security and Law Enforcement procedures and processes.
  • Proven track record in process improvement for large, enterprise-wide systems.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience engaging with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of VA systems, security protocols, and law enforcement procedures.
