Position Overview

✔ Are you an experienced property management leader with a proven track record of managing and developing teams?

✔ Do you excel at both hands-on management and stepping in to provide seamless support when it’s needed most?

As a Portfolio Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring smooth operations and high performance across our diverse portfolio in Central and Southeastern Virginia. You will not only supervise and guide multiple Community Managers and their staff but also directly step in to provide coverage when needed, ensuring continuity in operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Regional Operations: Oversee daily management of multiple properties to maintain top-notch service and operational efficiency.
  • Lead & Mentor Teams: Provide hands-on supervision, training, and mentorship for Community Managers, ensuring they develop and succeed in their roles.
  • Direct Hands-On Support: Step in to provide direct coverage in offices when Community Managers or team members are absent, ensuring uninterrupted service.
  • Staff Development: Lead training programs that promote operational excellence and team growth.
  • Regular Travel: Frequently visit properties to stay closely involved in operations, providing on-the-ground support as needed.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in property management, with significant experience managing multiple team members. Proven ability to lead and cover for team members across different locations. LIHTC experience is a strong advantage.
  • Leadership: A strong leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and stepping into various roles when necessary.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: CPM, ARM, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel regularly to properties in the Richmond, Petersburg, Hampton Roads regions, to include Northeastern North Carolina.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is a big plus in this role.
