We are looking for a Project Manager/Scrum Master II who will be responsible for coordinating a cross-functional Agile development team and who is experienced in leading Azure DevOps projects while utilizing the principles and tools of the Scrum Framework.

We are seeking someone for a leadership role that will be willing and able to lead by example but work right along with the team on projects while also supporting the execution of Scrum projects by identifying and removing impediments to project success.

A successful person in this role should be highly independent with minimal supervision and will be able to effectively lead the requisite Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, of simple to highly complex projects.

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Independently lead the scrum team to improve collaboration and self-management, promoting healthy interactions both within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for partnering with Project Sponsor and other stakeholders to ensure transparency into delivery progress, challenges, and risks within all projects.
  • This person will represent the team at broader planning and coordination sessions (e.g., Scrum of Scrums).
  • Independently lead the scrum team to improve collaboration and self-management, promoting healthy interactions both within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship to Junior Scrum Masters and occasionally serve as Agile Coach to for simple to moderately complex scrum teams

  • Support the team in using agile planning and development tools (Azure DevOps).
  • Actively participate in internal communities of practice/Center of Excellence to improve skills to better support the team.
  • Utilize team feedback and metrics (e.g., quality, delivery, cadence, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and work with team to continuously improve.
  • Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices, frameworks, and techniques.
  • Six plus years of experience.
  • A-CSM or PSM II, and SAFe SM certification or ability to receive within the first six months of employment.
  • Proven track record for successfully leading mid to large sized projects with high degrees of complexity.
  • Must have strong communication and people skills.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Expertise in utilizing Azure DevOps to manage projects.
  • Experience managing large-scale Agile projects utilizing multiple scrum teams and/or release trains.
  • SAFe Scrum Master Certification.
  • High-Level understanding of traditional project management patterns.
  • Experience in Financial Services and/or Insurance Industries a plus.
